What ages do we serve?
We cater to athletes of all ages, from childhood to adulthood. Regardless of their age, our athletes are continually acquiring new skills, forging friendships, and enhancing their strength, coordination, confidence, and independence. Our younger athletes begin with our early intervention program, and upon mastering this curriculum, they seamlessly transition to our gym curriculum.
What type of training do our coaches have?
All of our coaches undergo training through Fitness 4 Focus and must complete the Fitness 4 Focus trainer training and behavioral certification prior to working with athletes on a one-on-one basis. While many of our trainers hold personal training certifications, others are driven by a genuine passion for assisting individuals with disabilities in reaching their full potential.
What progress do we expect from an athlete?
Not every athlete is the same; however, through fitness, our athletes begin to recognize their abilities rather than their disabilities. If an F4F athlete struggles with jumping, we will provide them with the skills to master it. If they can run, we will help them run faster and farther. Our goal is to enhance each athlete's performance within their individual timeframe.
What’s the cost of the program and how is it billed?
Our gym membership pricing differs by location, typically ranging from $35 to $60 per session, depending on how often an athlete participates each month. Meanwhile, our Fit Friends program usually costs between $20 and $45 per session, varying by location.
How can I pay for the program?
Our program operates on a self-pay basis; however, some athletes utilize state and county funding options, such as waivers and self-directed funding, to offset costs. Families may also seek grants to assist with expenses. We are more than happy to discuss these options with you if they are accessible. Gym memberships are billed monthly, while the Fit Friends Program is charged based on each "season."
What comes with an athlete’s enrollment?
When our athletes enroll they will get a Fitness 4 Focus t-shirt, water bottle, bag and some stickers so they are ready for each session when they come into the gym. You can also order stuff online from our store here.
What’s the gym like?
The F4F environment aims to enhance our athletes' daily life skills. Our gym provides a structured setting that allows athletes to train at their own pace. With minimal distractions, we prioritize safety and strive to create a space that athletes truly enjoy being a part of.
